We believe that children are made in the image of God and loving and nurturing them is a sacred calling. Each child is unique with boundless potential. We look for every opportunity to develop children as they pursue their dreams. We do this through our Sponsor a Child program.
We currently partner with 9 schools.
What you can do:
Pray for your child!
You can write to your child via email as often as you would like. The Le Pont team in Togo will translate your letters into French and Ewe for your child and they will have the opportunity to reply to you as well!
Le Pont International has 50 women who have applied and qualified for a micro loan to build their business. There are seamstresses, cosmetologists, shop owners for groceries, spices, all sorts of produce and products. They pay back their loan over 8 months. We have a 100% rate of payback. This is our second round of loans. We were able to double the loan for the original 25 women who paid their loans back on time and now we have added 25 new women to the project. These women work hard! Madame Awouse oversees Prisca's Peace Project (PPP), she works to train them in accounting, marketing, and helps set them up for success.
They gather monthly for prayer, worship, and encouragement. fish and poultry production, jobs for a community, and a strategic center for community development.
Le Pont is working with the three schools to provide incentive-based scholarships for those students who can not pay the tuition. Each student receiving a scholarship is carefully evaluated by the administration and teachers to ensure the student is committed and that the family of the student is in need of assistance.
When you sponsor one or more of these students you are making a high impact investment in the future of these children and in Africa.
Over 40% of sub-Saharan Africa’s 783,000,000 people live without access to clean drinking water. Many are forced to carry heavy jugs of water for miles. For others, the prospect of clean water is simply nonexistent. In partnership with churches, businesses, and individuals, Le Pont has funded 3 Living Water Wells!
We’ve only just begun!
Your elementary-age daughter walking hours daily to fetch water instead of being in school. She gets up every morning to the same desperate routine. Her hope is on hold. In Africa, girls under the age of 15 are twice as likely as boys to be responsible for fetching water for the family. To pursue a hopeful future, she and her family need water…every day.
Throughout sub-Saharan Africa, people are at constant risk of contracting a disease or parasites from their water. For many, drinking water is typically found in infested streams and ponds, causing diseases such as typhoid, cholera, dysentery, and diarrhea. In sub-Saharan Africa, over 315,000 children die annually – victims of these water-borne illnesses.
We want to provide every Pastor in Togo with a relief package, consisting of food for a month and a small cash gift. With your help, we have already distributed these parcels to 250 pastors in need!
Our goal is to expand the relief project to include a total of 1000 pastors. To do this, we need your generous donations.
The time has come to minister to perhaps the most neglected and overlooked segment of the African society during this time – Pastors and their families.
Churches have been closed. Members are without jobs. People have not been able to “bring their tithes into the storehouse”. Pastors and families were passed over for government aid.
As we shows these pastors “double honor,” God will honor us. Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel from the first day to now.
